About Durham Teen Witches

Durham Teen Witches was founded on July 23, 2002 by a group of four girls from Oshawa, Whitby, and Ajax. Created because of the lack of pagan groups for teens in Durham Region, DTW provides an online community for teen pagans to meet and discuss items of interest. DTW is not a coven, nor do they promote any specific tradition or form of paganism. DTW was established to make pagan connections, and to share with the world the beauty that is the Craft.

	Lady Dracaena is the webmistress and a founder of the group. 17, a Scorpio, and from Ajax, she has followed her Celtic influenced eclectic tradition since Midsummer of 2002. Her interests include world religions; punk, ska and jazz music; hockey, the Toronto Maple Leafs; painting and drawing; website and graphic design; writing; and Harry Potter. She will be attending the University of Toronto in September.
	Jera MorningOwl is 16 and from Whitby. One of the founders of the group, she follows an eclectic tradition that combines Celtic, Egyptian, Norse, and Kitchen ways, and has been studying Wicca for 4 years. Aside from Wicca, her interests include cats, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her favourite stone is hematite, herbs are sage, catnip, and thyme, and she is a Taurean belonging to the Earth element.
	Iris, a founder of DTW, is 16 and from Whitby. Following an eclectic tradition with a focus on Celtic for 4 years, her favourite herb is patchouli, and favourite stone is Tiger's Eye. This Cancerian likes researching other religions, anything fantasy-genre related, reading, art, music (all except opera and country), television (Without A Trace), and of course, Wicca. She would love to learn archery, cinematography, and photography.
	Sheena, 18 and from Oshawa, has been studying her eclectic tradition for four years. A founder of the group, she is a Capricorn with interests in reading, art, horse-back riding, cats, anything Egyptian, swords, martial arts, vampires, and otherkin. Her favourite stone is amethyst and favourite incense is sandalwood, and one day she hopes to learn archery, sign-language, tarot reading, telekinesis.
	Blossom, 16 and from Bowmanville, found DTW in an internet search. For four years this Aquarian has studied her Celtic influenced eclectic tradition, and she enjoys reading everything about the Craft. Her other interest include hanging out with friends, laughing, criticizing movies, and "old rock" ("like, Dirty Dancing-ish", she says). Some of her favourites include the daisy, the willow tree, and the amethyst and moonstone.
	DracosFyre, 17, has been studying his Celtic influenced eclectic tradition for half a year. Introduced to DTW by a friend, he is a Sagittarius from Oshawa. His interests include dragons, anime, and punk rock music. He likes the outdoors, but doesn't spend enough time there.

	Greg, aka Dude, became interested in Wicca three years ago and now follows an eclectic tradition. 15 and from Oshawa, he found DTW through an MSN search. He is interested in Wicca and vampirism.
